This two week 9-1-1 Basic Communications course provides the basic knowledge, skills, and experience to understand the functional operation of an emergency communications system, and their role and responsibilities within the emergency communications system.

In 2007, the State of New Jersey signed into law the Security Officer Registration Act. Now, anyone who wishes to perform security duties for a private security company must be SORA certified before they can be employed. To become SORA certified, one must register with the state, have a background check and complete state-regulated training. This training must be performed by an institution which has SORA certified instructors
SORA license allows you to work as a security guard anywhere within New Jersey. SORA licensing requires training in terrorism awareness, first aid, gangs and the state’s use of force policy.
Due to the evolving nature of modern threats, the SORA training program changes from time to time. The SORA license is valid for two years after which, you have to renew the license by completing the training process again.
CPR/AED is an instructor-led course that teaches adult and child CPR and AED use, infant CPR, and how to relieve choking in adults, children, and infants. This course teaches skills with the AHA’s research-proven practice-while-watching technique, which allows instructors to observe the students, provide feedback, and guide the students’ learning of skills.
The Emergency Management course will provide a well-rounded set of fundamentals for those in the emergency management profession. Many students build on this foundation to develop their careers.
